Sponne is an outstanding community comprehensive school with 1412 students aged 11-18 on roll with 167 staff. The school is part of Tove Learning Trust, comprising fifteen schools and has a training school and the Grand Union Training partnership on site.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our vibrant and exciting school. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support the delivery of practical science lessons by maintaining, preparing and organising equipment and resources. The role also involves providing general administration support to the Science Faculty. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain a clear focus on supporting teaching and learning, contributing to raising student achievement. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training can be given.
The successful candidate will:
·Prepare, set up and maintain materials, equipment and resources
·Liaise with teaching staff to identify resource needs and support curriculum delivery
·Ensure health and safety compliance with health and safety regulations
·Provide day to day support and resilience to the Science Faculty
·Provide general administrative support
·Meet the person specification and be required to apply for a DBS disclosure
·Be eligible to live and work in the UK
