We are looking for a motivated and inspirational School Business Manager (SBM) to join us, due to the promotion of our existing school business professional to the role of Head of Business Operations within the new Trust.

The Leaf Trust will be the largest new Primary-only Multi-Academy Trust in the South West when it opens on 1st September 2023. Our family of 13 schools is committed to working together whilst retaining the unique differences between our schools. The Trust’s new approaches to school business and finance functions have been developed in collaboration with the SBM’s and draw on the systems used in the most effective MATs in England. Whilst this will be a period of change for all our school, especially in relation to business functions, we believe it presents an exciting opportunity to re-imagine how we run the business functions within our schools.
As the Business Manager you will provide strategic and operational support, leading and managing all aspects of business functions within the school: finance, HR, H&S, facilities, plus the leadership of our administrative and premises staff.
Prior experience in a school setting and/or an accounting or SBM qualification are desirable but not essential. Applicants should be able to lead a team, and to interact positively with stakeholders at all levels.
