We are seeking a qualified teacher to join our successful Science department to teach Chemistry and some Biology to KS4, with the possibility of teaching Chemistry to KS5. You will also be required to teach general Science to KS3. You will join a leading department in a heavily over-subscribed academy. The Science department is staffed with a mixture of experienced teachers, NQTs and three technicians, all with a commitment to continuous school improvement. We have a suite of dedicated Science laboratories, including a newly-refurbished lab and Sixth Form facilities.

You will be keen to promote the Science department and improve upon the opportunities available to our students.

Just 30 minutes by train from Central London, The Highcrest Academy is the first All Ability Academy in in the county of Buckinghamshire. It is culturally diverse and a vibrant school making it a fantastic place to teach. We have some students who will need all your support and yet we also featured in the national Ofsted report (2016) for providing challenge to the most able. Does this enthuse you?

There are approximately 950 students on roll, which includes the Sixth Form. A new building programme, just completed, comprises a brand new Sixth Form Centre, sports facilities including a gym and a new restaurant and coffee shop for both students and staff.

If you are passionate about education and want to really make a difference to the lives of young people then The Highcrest Academy could be the school for you; a thriving school in the heart of the community, with free on-site parking, staff recognition schemes and free gym to counter the “Friday Biscuits” and on-site coffee shop!
