Salary: Grade D - £25,992 - £27,711 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Are you passionate about creating and maintaining safe, welcoming environments where children can thrive? We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Caretaker to work at Georgeham C of E Primary School starting in December 2024.
As a Caretaker, you will be at the heart of our school community, ensuring that our buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
We are looking for an individual with:
Excellent communication skills
A competent level of IT skills
A high level of competency in maintenance
A good knowledge of Health & Safety · Professional, confidential, well-organised, innovative and flexible
Places the child firmly at the centre of everything they do
The successful candidate will:
Maintain the school buildings and grounds
Undertake routine building and general site maintenance tasks, internal and externally, as and when required
Work alongside the lead administrator and Headteacher to make alterations, repairs and improvements
Be the first point of contact for contractors following the contractors on site
Ventrus Policy and safeguarding:
Complete Health and Safety and compliance checks on time and recorded following policy and procedures in place
Manage the security of the school site
Support the cleaning staff to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
Other duties as set out in the job description
