Do you believe in adding value to every single student? Do you want to work in a school where every student is challenged to achieve their personal best? Do our three core values of inclusive, individual and inspirational resonate with you?
If this sounds like you and you like sweet treats in the staff room, the idea of dogs around site and a calendar of staff socials then, please, read on.
This is a superb opportunity for a recent university graduate who is considering a career in teaching and who wants to gain a good understanding of how a thriving independent school operates. The successful candidate will be based in the PE and Games department and work across all age groups.
Your responsibilities will include integrating on a professional level with the pupils during breaks, games sessions and supervised prep. You will be a confident role model for them, with a strong sense of right and wrong and demonstrate a good work ethic. We will provide support, mentoring and teaching experience ahead of a potential application for a PGCE.
The ability to contribute to the College's programme of team sports and the IT skills to potentially deliver some of our Digital Literacy lessons would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will also be expected to play a leading role in the busy and varied co-curricular programme at the College. Shiplake has its own salary scale. Onsite accommodation will be provided.
Early applications are welcomed, as the College reserves the right to appoint at any stage during the application process.
