Our school is a member of Ventrus, a group of Devon schools that actively collaborate to improve children's outcomes. As a Trust, Ventrus offers excellent career and development opportunities.
Hemyock Primary School is seeking to appoint a skilled and caring Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful team of support staff. This may be a role suitable for someone looking for school experience before entering teacher training.
Hemyock is a very special place to work, in a beautiful rural location, with easy access from the M5. Our popular school is situated in the Blackdown Hills surrounded by ‘Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. We have extensive grounds which include a forest school area, sports field, a running track, pond and gardening area. Our team of staff and governors work together to create a school where there is a real sense of community and where teachers and learners flourish. Our children are eager to learn and their behaviour is exceptional.
We are driven by the school’s core values:
Please do come and visit us to see our team and children for yourself!
We have strong links with other schools through our multi-academy trust, Ventrus Ltd, and we enjoy being able to share expertise as well as offer school to school professional development. If you are committed to supporting children to achieve success and have the relevant knowledge and skills to enable them to overcome barriers to their learning, we would love to hear from you.
To apply for this role please submit your application online; your supporting statement should outline your suitability for the post.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Wednesday 30th November 2022. Interviews will be held on Monday 5th December 2022.
All shortlisted applicants will be subject to an online search.
Ventrus Multi Academy Trust require all applicants to be eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions, as we are unable to offer sponsorship/work visas. You will be required to provide proof of Right to Work at interview stage.
Ventrus is an equal opportunities employer, committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an enhanced disclosure is required for this post.
