The Governors of Bewdley Primary School wish to appoint a friendly and experienced Family Support Worker to support and guide our children and families in well-being and mental health on a day to day basis.
The ideal candidate will be able to act as the strategic link between the school and outside agencies/partners and work to provide families with early help and emotional well-being.
You will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and relevant partners to provide a holistic support service designed at enhancing the wellbeing of some of school community. You will need to be able to identify pupils who require support and use your specialist knowledge and skills to foster the social and emotional development of the children. You will also need to lead planned interventions and evaluate outcomes.
You will need to be innovative, reliable, caring yet assertive with excellent communication skills. You must have relevant experience of working with children with different needs and experience of working in a school or educational setting.
You will have a minimal qualification equivalent of NVQ level 4 with a GCSE in Maths and English (C or above).
