About WSAPC

West Sussex Alternative Provision College (WSAPC) is an educational establishment based across the county on Seven separate sites. We provide education to young people who are not accessing mainstream education. We aim to provide a caring and positive environment where all are valued and supported through a personalised curriculum which challenges and inspires individuals to achieve their potential.

The College is rated as ‘Good’ following a recent Ofsted visit in March 2018 and our focus

now, is to move from Good to Outstanding.

What we are looking for:

Are you looking for a rewarding role providing ICT support across West Sussex? Do you want a job where no two days are the same? Are you an enthusiastic and motivated team player, qualified in ICT support? Do you have a passion for ICT desktop, network and user support and safety? Come and make a difference at West Sussex Alternative Provision College, supporting the use of ICT in education, maintaining our network and supporting our staff and students with all hardware and software requirements across our centres!

The key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide second-line ICT support across the school
  • Setup and distribute ICT hardware and software
  • Setup new users and train new staff members
  • Ensure ICT hardware and software across the school is maintained to a satisfactory standard
  • Support the Network Technician and Network Manager as needed
  • Deliver a quality service in a school where high standards are set and expected

You will have:

  • Relevant degree and/or proven experience with a minimum of Maths and English GCSE or equivalent, demonstrating the appropriate level of knowledge.
  • Experience in administration of ICT software and hardware, particularly Microsoft Windows networks and Office 365
  • Experience in a similar working environment
  • A patient and flexible attitude
  • Be well organized and highly motivated
  • Attention to detail, a keen eye for accuracy, and an ability to see the bigger picture
  • The ability to work in a team and on own initiative
  • A current UK driving license and the ability to travel between our centres, transporting ICT equipment as and when required
