Archbishop Temple School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking person who can contribute to the smooth running of our school, maintain high standards of cleanliness and focus on site supervision and general maintenance duties. It is expected that the person appointed will take pride in both their work and appearance and pay attention to detail.

The role of site supervisor is varied and applicants must be flexible in their daily routine. Site security, porterage and routine maintenance are key parts of the role and the successful candidate will have DIY and repair skills as well as awareness of health & safety issues, COSHH and working with external contractors.

We are one of the highest achieving schools in the North West and our pupils are positive young people.
You will be joining a team of people who are skilled and experienced, but also supportive and encouraging.
Our support staff play a full role in the life of the school, and you will be joining a workplace where no two
days are ever the same.

This is a highly valued and responsible position and it is essential that the successful candidate can
 Flexibility and commitment to work un-social hours
 Good social skills and an ability to communicate effectively
 Initiative and the ability to work without supervision
 A practical and sensible approach to routine school maintenance, in observance of health and safety protocols
 Punctuality and reliability
 A dedication to the upkeep of the school building and grounds in line with the detailed job description
 Knowledge of H&S requirements within a school environment
 Basic maintenance, plumbing, redecorating and arranging for outside contractors for specialist repairs
 Completing compliance checks and recording appropriately

If you are interested in joining a committed and dedicated team and have the ambition to help shape the continuing development of the school, we would welcome your application.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. Archbishop Temple School safeguards and protects its pupils and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with Lancashire Local Safeguarding Board Procedures.
