Working towards a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Professional Competence for IT & Telecoms Professionals whilst at the same time providing support to staff and students within the school.

The role will provide an effective and efficient first line support service to staff and students throughout the school. The candidate should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, MS Office 2016, Office 365 and Active Directory.

1st Line Support including:

  • Server operating system administration
  • Responding to general queries and providing basic training.
  • Set-ups: new user account / mailboxes, PC / laptops, etc.
  • Day-to-day support (printer installs, Internet connection troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Support colleagues on technical issues
  • Diagnose IT incidents and reports, solving where possible and escalating where necessary, while monitoring incidents and reports until resolution
  • Maintain high degree of customer service at all times
  • Support colleagues in the use of IT equipment
  • Perform ad hoc requests as and when required. Desktop and Laptop support in hardware & software
  • Customer Service both face to face & over the telephone
  • Training new users on PC & software usage
  • Hardware installation, configuration, repairs and upgrades
  • Printer support & installation
