Advance Trust is a multi-academy trust (MAT) that currently comprises of three special schools and one short stay secondary school within Worcestershire. The MAT is responsible for the education and welfare of circa 400 pupils and employs around 250 staff. The total revenue for the MAT is approaching £8.5 million.

We are a developing MAT, with a desire to maintain the identity of each school that joins us, whilst supporting their journey to outstanding. We support our academies to ensure that learners’ life chances are enhanced.

Due to the retirement of the Chief Operating Officer at the end of the academic year, the Trust Board are actively seeking to appoint someone who can lead and manage the varied multi-disciplines of the role who will be critical in shaping and developing the MAT. This new individual will hold a pivotal position in the work of Advance Trust, and will work alongside the current Executive Principal and Board to take the Trust forward.  They will lead the central function, based in Evesham, and regularly visit academy locations in Evesham, Redditch and Worcester - hence the ability to drive and have access to own transport is essential.

We are looking for an experienced professional with strong leadership and inter-personal skills, ambition and drive who shares the organisation’s values and passion for improving the lives of pupils with special educational needs and other barriers to learning. We are looking for the successful candidate to start on 1st July 2019; however a later start date could be negotiated for the right candidate.
