The Governors seek to appoint an ambitious, well-qualified, innovative and committed professional to lead and develop the school’s ICT infrastructure team. Bury Church of England High School is looking to appoint an ICT Manager to oversee and coordinate the ICT functions that support the teaching, learning and administrative function of a modern secondary school. Ideally you will have experience in managing staff, have worked in an education context and can deal with a variety of competing pressures to achieve a working and viable infrastructure.

Additionally you will be the lead authority in the school on all matters in relation to GDPR and must have a good understanding of processes and implications on this new regulation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to enhance their skills and knowledge as the school looks to invest in its ICT infrastructure now and as it seeks to become an academy.

This role will focus on both the strategic planning and organisation of the school ICT function and its daily operation. It requires someone with previous experience in the area of supporting and managing a local area network environment and associated Microsoft based servers.

Bury Church of England High School, a highly regarded school, is a warm and welcoming place to work with a strong Christian ethos, and a commitment to the continued development and training of all our staff. Due to the all year round nature of the post, holidays can be taken at any time in the year, exact dates to be discussed and agreed with the School Business Manager.

The school is close to the vibrant northern city of Manchester with good transport networks providing easy access to the beautiful countryside of the North Pennine Moors and the surrounding area.

Application forms are available from www.burychurch.bury.sch.uk

The closing date will be 12:00 noon on Tuesday 22nd May 2018 and interviews will be held on 4th June 2018.

Bury Church of England High School is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all our pupils.  Appointments are subject to satisfactory references and enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
