Cleaner in Charge

Job/Person Summary

We are looking to appoint a friendly, reliable and hard working person to join our team of cleaners working in a senior role as a cleaner in charge, starting as soon as possible.

The cleaner in charge will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and managing stock and supplies, completing stock order forms as necessary,
  • Checking the quality/safety of cleaning materials and equipment, reporting any damage/needs.
  • Assisting in the recruitment, training and development of cleaning staff as required.
  • Supervising the cleaning team and contributing to staff induction and appraisal, organising staff cover and rotas as necessary.
  • Ensuring cleaning of all areas is in accordance with the agreed specification and required standards.
  • Ensure compliance by self and others with all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure safe use by self and others of equipment and materials
  • Demonstrate and assist others in safe and effective use of specialist equipment/materials
  • Liaise with the School Business Manager and attend meetings as required.

 

 

We offer training in First Aid, allergy management, health and safety and safeguarding and expect the successful person to join the team at team events and work in accordance with school policies and procedures.
