Prince William School is a vibrant and friendly 11-18 school (1100 students on roll) located in Oundle, within easy commutable distance from Peterborough, Stamford, Wellingborough, Huntingdon and Corby.

 

Due to an expansion of the curriculum for core subjects we are excited to offer this newly created opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious teacher of Science to join our successful team as the 3rd in department. The successful applicant will join a supportive team, working alongside a well-established and very able Science department. You will be passionate about Science and have the drive to be part of a forward thinking department, focused on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences. This position would suit an aspiring teacher of Science looking for an opportunity to develop their teaching and learning and leadership skill. The exact responsibilities of this post would be negotiated with the successful candidate.

You will be joining the school at an exciting time as examination results across the whole school at both A level and GCSE have seen rapid improvement and the school is expanding. In 2017, 70% achieved grade 4+ in both English and Maths, 49% achieved grade 5+ in both English and Maths, and our Progress 8 score was +0.36, putting the school in the top 19% of schools nationally for progress.  At A level, 55% attained A* - B and the proportion of students achieving AAB or better was 19%.
