We have the following vacancy for January 2018 (or earlier if possible): 

Construction Skills Teacher/Instructor

Salary: Teacher - Main Professional Scale/Instructor - scale dependent on experience

Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Term: Full-Time

Meadowbrook College is an Alternative Provision (AP) Academy located across four sites in Oxfordshire: Banbury, Oxford, Bicester and Abingdon, supporting students who have either been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from school. The Academy offers students a unique approach, based on an integrated curriculum of core and technical (vocational) learning. 

Can you teach Construction Skills qualifications (carpentry, joinery, bricklaying, plumbing, painting/decorating, electrics) to students age 11-16.  You will work as part of a small team of experienced and dedicated staff using the practical, workshop environment to bring learning to life for our young learners. 

 We wish to appoint someone who is:

     An excellent teacher, with strong interpersonal and motivational skills

     Not afraid of a challenge and has strong, restorative behaviour management skills

     Creative and innovative with an ability to translate ideas into practice

     Resilient and has a passion for achieving the best possible outcomes for our vulnerable learners.
