The Bury Grammar Schools are a family of independent, selective, day schools for girls and boys aged 3 to 18, which combines a strong tradition of academic excellence with the best of modern educational practice. The Schools are situated in the heart of Bury and are widely recognised as one of the top independent schools in the North West of England. In all, there are five Schools in the Bury Grammar Schools Foundation; a Senior Girls’ School, a Senior Boys’ School, a Junior Girls’ School, a Junior Boys’ School and a co-educational Infant School and Nursery.

Under the general supervision of the Senior IT Technicians and the Head of IT Services, Installs and supports personal computers and network operations; provides hardware and software planning and evaluation; provides problem solving and training for end users; and ensures systems efficiency and integrity. This post is for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm; with a salary of up to £19,266.

This role is suitable for individuals who possess good interpersonal skills, with good time management and have the ability to communicate effectively with all users on different levels. This individual must be willing to undertake further training and desire to continuously learn and develop their skills further.

We are looking for someone who has experience in; working effectively as part of a team, providing excellent customer service and working in a complex organisation. Experience with Windows 7/10, Microsoft Office and other common software is also desirable.
